Ross & Kath were seeking to upsize from their current residence. They had been searching in a particular location for over 12 months and had become synonymous with local agents in the area, therefore were typecast in their buyer profiles. Local selling agents had become aware of their budget and brief which was causing a barrier to entry as every time they entered a negotiation, the selling agent knew their position and would exploit this. Ross & Kath were destined to overpay for a home unless they were to seek a professional's representation to gain anonymity and therefore control of the negotiation.
